Hot New Ford GT, and the GB!!
by DwainBowman inok, i was reading a story about fords new ford gt, one hot extreme muscle car.
the story tells about how a car like this normally takes 6 or more years from, first scratches on paper to finished project.
their small handful of specialist, pulled it off in 2. and right until it was finished, no one out side of the small circle of people (about 25 people ) really knew anything, except something special was in the works!.

When I started driving in the 60's Ford was heavily into racing programs. Drag racing, trans-am, etc. Carol Shelby dumped a fat 427 V-8 monster into a little British sports car, with Ford's backing, of course and the Cobra came to be. It dominated for two years. The Europeans were left in the dust. Then onto the Ford GT, the Cobra Jet Mustangs etc. Looks like it's still in Ford's blood, just like the Watchtower bs is still in its blood.
And what do you mean by '...some imagined need...?'
Of course a new, improved, more powerful Ford GT is necessary. What are you thinking?

'...If you were to attend a conference in the early days of the LDS church, you could expect to come away with at least two things that we don't get now.
First, the leadership would provide a complete report of the Church’s financial holdings, detailing the amount of tithing funds collected and a thorough accounting as to how those funds were being spent.
Second, you could expect to hear something from the prophet that would truly edify you; some cosmic truth you didn’t know or hadn’t realized before. In short, you would attend conference expecting to take away from the experience at least a modicum of further light and knowledge.
Financial reports were quietly discontinued after 1958, despite no announced revelation from God that such an accounting was no longer required. It was simply an executive decision by Church leaders that these things were not the business of the membership at large. “I don't think the public needs to have that information,” is the way it was put by N. Eldon Tanner, the Church’s unofficial CFO. By “the public,” Tanner was referring to the lowly rank and file members who had contributed the money in the first place.
Besides, the argument went, once it's donated, that money no longer belongs to the members. Tithing money belongs to the Lord. So there....'

Barbara Anderson's site re Royal Commission
by umbertoecho inhttp://watchtowerdocuments.org/royal-commission-day-1/.
i receive updates from her site because it is one of the best sites in terms of this subject matter.. if you would like to go somewhere for the day 1 videos 1-2-3 and the transcripts for each of those sections.
then go here as it has been collated into video = transcript commencing 27th august.. you may find this easier to access than going to the royal commission where the transcripts only, are available due to live streaming of the entire event.

Watchtower lack of empathy for victim children stunned Royal Commission
by Esse quam videri inthe comments and facial expressions of judge peter mcclellan, the chair of the royal commission and angus stewart, though subdued, clearly showed their disbelief and disgust at the lack of compassion and empathy by the org and the elders and gb jackson when questioned.. this link, is a sobering look at the emotions people should feel at the abuse of their children.

Muddy Waters
I too, thought this was going to be a thread showing a video compilation of the Royal Commission's (Stewart & McClellan) reactions. Because though they appear to be neutral, there are times they just can't help looking stunned and amazed at the testimony they are hearing.
It would be great to get a compilation of that! I do realize the immensity of the task, though. Still, it would be great.
Great idea! Anyone have the time?

@Smiddy
The OP is suggesting (i think) that the example of a father beating up a guy who was molesting his son, shows how strongly we should hate child abuse.
At 2:55 the commentator notes that the young person did not feel comfortable in telling anyone about the abuse. What turmoil this child must have been going through. So often during the Royal Commission the subject of the victims having to confront the abuser in front of the judicial committee was repeated. The turmoil the victims endured in this atmosphere must have been almost unbearable. The whole focus of the 'Watchtower Society' has been to protect itself, whereas 'worldly people' focus on protecting the child. Where was the moral outrage when these 1006 incidents occurred? If the world expresses moral outrage, why did moral outrage not move one elder, not one, to go the police and report the crime? Not once! What should have been immediate action motivated by moral outrage was merely a clinical analysis of how the Organization would limit the damage to its reputation. In doing so its reputation is smeared to a greater degree.
Now the saying is going to come true, " The sins they do one by one, they pay for two by two."

Strange thread.
I thought I would see something about the facial expression of justice Mc Clellan or Angus Stewart.
Sorry I did not elaborate. Sometimes it's better to wonder why that thread? Why that wording? I certainly was not encouraging violence. However it struck me as strange that the 'worldly' people at the Royal Commission seemed to care about the well being of the child victims much more than the so-called 'elders'. In their subdued but probing way, these lawyers and judges were trying to make some sense of these men not understanding the importance of protecting the children. [ I should given more thought to posting the link. I did not like the photo that appeared. I regret it.]

Before she sleeps in the sand ?
3] Yes, how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind

Pretending he just doesn't see ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
7] Yes, how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky ?
8] Yes, how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry ?
9] Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.We now know the answer to question number 6. 1006. At least in Australia, it is 1006..Thanks to the Australian Royal Commission for catching the wind and giving us the answer to this most important question.
